Nicolas plays more than just notes, if you listen to his saxophone you will also hear lots of fun, humour and professionalism. Besides his sense of humour, he brings another indispensable ingredient that only great musicians have: his ability to react and adapt immediately. Whenever a musical issue arises during the rehearsals, it only takes a few seconds before Nicolas comes up with improvements.

French atypical saxophonist, Nicolas Prost is a modern interpreter using in concerts as well the acoustic, electronic saxophone as its own voice. Musician of concerts Lamoureux Orchestra, chamber musician member of the Variance Ensemble and the Saxiana Trio, he also occurs as soloist performer with the philarmonics orchestras of Mexico, Thailand, Suisse-Romande, Capitole de Toulouse, E.C. Montreal or European Camerata of London.

Very sensitive to the developpement of saxophone litteratures, he drafts numerous works of pedagogic vocation, sign the books Saxophone à la francaise, Very essential pedagogic and concert repertoire, realize numerous recordings congratulated by the international reviews and assures the world première of more than 80 new pièces dedicated to him from composers such as Maalouf, Hersant, Escaich, Pécou, Bacri, Zavaro, Lauba, Naon or Beytelman.

Prize-winner of prestigious Paris Conservatoire Superieur and several chamber music international compétitions, Nicolas Prost is teaching at Saint-Maur Conservatoire and give conferences and master classes in international universities such as Cnsm Paris and main French conservatories, Seoul, Tokyo, Mexico, Amsterdam, Prague, Cologne, Barcelone, Fribourg, Riga, Bloomington and Montreal.
